BBC S&PP expanding its digital restoration and archive services

BBC S&PP buys Scanity 

BBC Studios and Post Production is expanding its digital restoration and archive services by investing in a 2K film to file scanner.

Digital Film Technology’s Scanity (pictured) will handle 16mm and 35mm film.

Head of digital media services Clive Hodge said the investment would enable it to offer costeffective restoration services to its customers.
