Museum goes back to the future with film archive

Barnsley’s first film and audio archive is being created as part of the Experience Barnsley project.

Scores of movies have been donated to the museum ranging from jubilee street parties, miners at work and a man building a wall in his garden.

They will be compiled in a digital archive giving visitors to the new museum the chance to search them.
