A digital design company has completed a project for the BBC which makes it possible for TV viewers to instantly search and access the broadcaster’s archive of news stories.
The firm has developed the BBC News app for Virgin’s TiVo platform. It enables viewers to watch news stories via their set-top box, which is connected to the internet.
The app brings video clips via the web to TV screens and is designed to complement the broadcaster’s 24-hour news channel.
BBC reporters upload video clips around the clock to run alongside text-based news from the corporation’s online team, which viewers can navigate using their remote control devices.
