Auditioning for Auntie

The BBC has kept records of the sessions aspiring bands and artists had to go through if they wanted to get onto the radio in the 1950s and 60s. Pete Paphides, a journalist who has been through the archives, and Jeff Griffin, the music engineer and later producer who sat in on many of those sessions, explain the content of Auditioning for Auntie, a programme that will be broadcast on Radio 4 at 16:00 on Monday.  Today Programme interview about these sessions at 2.22 minutes in to this morning’s broadcast.
